Where Curiosity & Growth Is Nutured.

Middle School

Our educators value and respect the young adolescents at the Middle School level.  Our teachers and administrators employ “best practices” based on the prevailing academic principles and research findings – using multiple teaching methods to engage children and promote purposeful learning at this level.

Springdale Prep offers a challenging, integrated curriculum with varied assessments to both advance successful learning and foster meaningful educational growth.

Our lower school environment is welcoming, safe, inclusive, and comfortable for both international and domestic children.

We focus on both the academic and personal development of every student, advocate for their educational and environmental needs and support their health and well-being with respect to the curriculum, programs, and policies.

The sixth-grade core curriculum includes four subject areas—English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics—all of which are offered daily. The Middle School mathematics program includes a weekly sixth-grade lab session that allows students to connect math concepts through visualization, play, and investigation. A sixth-grade schedule also includes a combination of physical education, art, music, and an elective course to round out the eight-period day.

7th

Seventh graders take a core curriculum that includes five daily classes (English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Spanish, and Mathematics); the latter also features a hands-on lab every week. These students also fill out their eight-period schedule with a mix of physical education, art, music, and a to-be-determined elective.

8th

The eighth-grade core curriculum is the same as seventh grade and likewise includes a weekly math lab session. The only difference from the previous year is that health replaces music in the daily class schedule.
