Boarding

We are now accepting applications for 2024-2025.

Welcome Home

Springdale provides an unparalleled level of support for all boarding students, both domestic and international. Residential staff and faculty—along with the students themselves—coordinate activities in the dorm and around campus and organize/supervise regular trips to a mix of local attractions, landmarks, and entertainment/sporting events.

The group enjoys meals at local restaurants, shopping excursions, and extended day trips around the Baltimore-Washington D.C. corridor—and into Pennsylvania and Virginia—while also making visits to historic sites, monuments, museums, zoos, concerts and festivals.

Safety is our number-one priority, with full-time residential life staff living on campus and supervision of all school-related on- and off-campus activities. Students live on 52-acres of rolling, rural Maryland countryside in a peaceful and calming environment.

Residential Life

With three housing options on campus, there are a variety of recreational areas and room configurations available. All of the residential life buildings are recently renovated with single, double and triple room options. Each building has overnight monitoring and dorm parents living on-site, key card access, and alarms to ensure the safety of the students. We also have 24-7 camera surveillance on both campuses. There are separate buildings for girls and boys. All dorm rooms include a bed, dresser, desk, and chair per student. Accommodations range from two to four students per room, depending on room sizes. We provide three full meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Getting Here

We enjoy unique access to three international airports and coordinate all arrangements for a student’s arrival from any of them. Any student choosing to fly into another airport must make their own arrangements for transportation to campus.

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is the closest (55- minute drive) to Springdale, thus we recommend students fly into BWI.

Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Northern Virginia is approximately one hour and 20 minutes from campus.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), located just outside of Washington, DC, is also about 1 hour and 20 minutes from campus.

NOTE: Students are asked to share their travel itinerary and related details with Daniele Tellish ([email protected]) so that she can make all of the necessary arrangements.
