Springdale Preparatory School has appointed Gerald L. Boarman, Ed.D. as the new Head of School. Dr. Boarman began his new role at Springdale on July 1, 2021. Dr. Boarman comes to us from Bullis School in Potomac, MD., a K-12 independent day school with 812 students, where he served as President and Head of School from 2010 until 2020. Springdale Preparatory School Receives Greenhouse Grant Award From Rural Maryland Council

(New Windsor, MD) –Springdale Preparatory School, the independent boarding and day school in New Windsor in Carroll County, Maryland, has received a Rural Maryland Prosperity Investment Fund (RMPIF) grant from the Rural Maryland Council to establish a greenhouse on its academic campus, located at 1000 Green Valley Road. Springdale Preparatory School received a grant for $52,506 to fund start-up costs for a greenhouse operation that will serve as a hands-on teaching tool in conjunction with its environmental science course offerings. Springdale Preparatory School Inaugural Girls Varsity Basketball Program Earns First Tournament Title

(New Windsor, MD) – The Springdale Preparatory School Lions inaugural girls’ varsity basketball team brought home the championship trophy from the Hill School Tournament last weekend in Pottsdown, Pa. In the opening round, Springdale bested Oldfields School, 57-40. Savannah Brooks led the Lions with 17 points and Libby Kiley added 10. Springdale took the final game against the host school, by a convincing 63-26 margin.
