“We played the best ball we have thus far this season,” reflects head coach Tyron Johnson, a 2017 Georgia coach of the year, who looks forward to the marquis competition against SPIRE on President’s Day. “Obviously, they are a considerably talented team, maybe the most talented team in America. Our guys are committed to playing the right way and we embrace the role of being underdog.”
The Lions varsity and junior varsity teams have played an independent schedule during their inaugural season. Their next games are scheduled for Saturday, January 26 at John Bartram High School in Philadelphia. The junior varsity and varsity games tips off at 1:30 and 3:00 respectively.
