Welcome to Springdale Collegiate Academy!

To make individualized college guidance more broadly accessible to students interested in pursuing higher education, Springdale Preparatory School offers virtual college guidance to students across the U.S. and around the world through the Springdale Collegiate Academy. Our academy focuses on skills and aptitude assessments and explores the many possibilities available to high school students to ensure an engaging and rewarding college application process. With affordable introductory packages starting at $795, Springdale Collegiate Academy helps students and families navigate the challenging, competitive, and sometimes confusing college application process with an experienced mentor.

Basic College Guidance Program

5 sessions- $795
  • Initial overview (1 session) 
    • Learn about Springdale Collegiate Academy’s philosophy 
    • Overview of college application process, timeline and terms
  • Introduction to online application platform (1 session)
  • Skills and aptitude assessments
  • Review and evaluation of academic and extracurricular achievements (1 session)
  • Introduction to financing higher education (1 session) 
  • Personalized application review (1 session)

 

Enhanced College Guidance Program

8 sessions- $1,495
  • Initial overview (1 session) 
    • Learn about Springdale Collegiate Academy’s philosophy 
    • Overview of college application process, timeline and terms
  • Introduction to online application platform (1 session)
  • Skills and aptitude assessments
  • Review and evaluation of academic and extracurricular achievements (1 session)
  • Assistance creating a college application strategy, including creating/reviewing list of colleges for consideration with advice and coaching for each (1 session)
  • Introduction to financing higher education (1 session) 
  • Personalized and in-depth application review, including application critique, resume and essay review, guidance on financial aid/scholarship applications, and interview coaching (3 sessions)
  • Payment option of two $750 installments

 

Meet Your Springdale Collegiate Academy Mentor

 

As Director of College Guidance at Springdale Preparatory School, Ms. Jennifer White draws on her twenty-year career in higher education to provide each student with individualized advising on college and career goals. Ms. White has visited over twenty countries for her work in international education and has directed study abroad programs for institutions such as Goucher College, Kalamazoo College, Illinois Wesleyan University, Washington University in St. Louis and Webster University. Her teaching experience includes courses in history, anthropology, intercultural studies and women’s studies as well as short-term study abroad programs to China, Japan and Taiwan.

A native of Baltimore and the daughter of two educators, Ms. White attended Roland Park Country School, where she experienced firsthand the value of academic challenge, mentoring and support at a small, independent school. Ms. White earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude in English Literature and East Asian Studies from Harvard University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, rowed on the crew team, and played harp in the college orchestra. After successfully applying for a postgraduate Monbusho Research Scholarship from Japan’s Ministry of Education, Ms. White completed her MA degree and PhD research in Comparative Culture at International Christian University in Tokyo, Japan. Ms. White is committed to instilling a belief in all Springdale Collegiate Academy students that they can overcome any barriers and achieve their dreams for college and beyond.
