23 Apr Lions Score in Battle of the Books
NEW WINDSOR, MD (April 20, 2018) – Springdale Preparatory School’s inaugural entry into Carroll County Public Library’s Battle of the Books’ independent and homeschool division was marked by a second-place finish. The team of six fifth grade students competed against six other teams and was the top performing of the county’s independent schools. Marked by teamwork and a strong work ethic, SPS students earned silver medal honors by winning their “sudden death, tie breaking” round at McDaniel College forum on Friday evening, April 20, 2018. Congratulations to team members, Heather Lapp, Noor Zia, Sameer Zia, Tyler Distefano, Maya Wolfe and Davis Maistros.
