Students complete two years of study, including core curriculum (Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and Community, Action and Service) and at least one course that covers each of the six subject groups in the program: Language A, Language B, Individuals and Societies, Experimental Sciences, Mathematics and The Arts. Whenever pupils successfully complete essays and exams, they receive points towards their IB diploma. The minimum requirement is 24 points, but students can earn up to 45.
