What Are the Requirements to Be Awarded an International Baccalaureate Diploma?

Students at our IB private school in Maryland must complete all requirements outlined in the official IB program. Students need to satisfactorily complete two years of study, including core curriculum (Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and Creativity, Action and Service) and at least one class for each of the six subject groups in the program: Language A, Language B, Individuals and Societies, Experimental Sciences, Mathematics and The Arts. As learners successfully complete essays, assessments and exams, they will accrue points towards their International Baccalaureate diploma. The minimum requirement is 24 points, but students can earn up to 45 points.
