What Are the Requirements for an IB Diploma?

IB diplomas are awarded separately from a traditional degree. At our IB prep school in Maryland, students have to complete two years of relevant study to be eligible for their IB diploma. Every student must complete three core curriculum classes (Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and Creativity, Action and Service). Additionally, each student will complete a course in each of the six subject groups of the International Baccalaureate program, including Language A, Language B, Individuals and Societies, Experimental Sciences, Mathematics and The Arts. Students will complete essays, exams and assessments to demonstrate their comprehension and satisfaction of all IB goals.
