Estonian Folk Dance Group to Perform at Springdale Preparatory School

The “Kabujalake” Folk Dance Group, a group of students from Paide Hammerbecki Basic School in Paide, Estonia, will perform at Springdale Preparatory School in New Windsor, Maryland, on April 9, 2019.

The Springdale performance is part of the Westminster, Maryland – Paide Partner City Program, which began in 2002. The group will perform for Springdale students at 1:00 p.m. and a question and answer session and campus tour will follow.

“We have invited the Paide Hammerback youth folk dancers to Springdale Preparatory School in support of the school’s international partnership with Westminster,” says  Springdale Preparatory School’s founding head of school. “Paide joins our expanding community of global academic partners as we continue to enhance our commitment to global literacy, a key part of our school mission.”

The group will spend a week visiting schools and participating in various community events in Carroll County.
